Bangladesh apparel manufacturers urge govt to keep factories open during upcoming strict lockdown

Apparel Correspondent: Mentioning the country will experience massive loss per day from export if the factories remain close, Bangladesh apparel makers have urged the government to keep factories open during the upcoming strict COVID-13 lockdown from July 23 in a joint statement on Thursday, July 15 in the capital.
BGMEA President Faruque Hassan said, “We have sent a letter to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina today (Thursday). A meeting will be held on Saturday (July 17) in the afternoon for making decisions in this matter.”
