UCEP, Screen Print Welfare Association sign MoU

Apparel Correspondent:A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between Underprivileged Children's Educational Programmes (UCEP), Gazipur, Bangladesh and Screen Print Welfare Association (SPWA) on February 12, 2021.

According to the agreement, both the organizations will provide short-term training and employment assistance to the underprivileged unemployed people in the ‘Apparel Screen Printing’ course approved by Bangladesh Technical Education Board (BTEB).

Apart from this, BTEB will also provide various types of training including certification courses by providing advanced training to the professionals involved in the screen printing section in the garment industry.

The first batch of eight-week training program for professionals working in the screen printing sector was inaugurated on February 12, 2021.

Md Shafiqur Rahman (Regional Manager, UCEP Gazipur), Md Shahadat Hossain Sohag (Vice President, SPWA), Md Monayem Khan (Vice President, SPWA), Khandaker Tuhin Ali (Head of Technical School), Mohammad Samir Uddin (Senior Officer), Saiful Islam (General Secretary, SPWA), Golam Sarwar (Organizing Secretary, SPWA) and other distinguished guests were present on the occasion.
