BCI leaders to play supportive role to grow new industrial sectors

Apparel Correspondent: The installation function of the new executive committee for the two-year (2021-2023) of the Bangladesh Chamber of Industries (BCI), the lone industry-based chamber of the country, was held recently.

The function was addressed by AK Azad, former president of BCI and also The Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FBCCI), newly-elected President Anwarul Alam Parvez, Chairman of Evince Group and Ex-President of Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGMEA), Senior Vice President Priti Chakraborty, Chairman of Universal Medical College and Hospital Limited and Director of FBCCI, Chairman of BCI Election Board Abdul Haque and Dhaka Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DCCI) President Rizwan Rahman and Delwar Hossain Reza.

The industry leaders said that as a leading chamber body the BCI has to play a supportive and pro-active role to help grow the micro and small industries across the country.

Mentioning the micro and small industries were the most affected sector by the COVID-19 pandemic, they said BCI should be a common platform of all industrial sectors to discuss their problems, challenges and find solutions.
