Staff Correspondent: Famous sportswear brand Puma made its entry into Bangladesh market with the opening of its first flagship store at Banani Road-11 in Dhaka on 7 April. The inauguration was attended by Mushfiqur Rahim, Mahmudullah Riyad, Sabbir Rahman, Imrul Kayes, Liton Kumar Das, Abu Hider and Mosaddek Hossain Saikat of the Bangladesh cricket team. “It’s exciting to see a globally leading sportswear brand like Puma come in.

Spread over 2,200 square feet, the outlet showcases Puma’s latest performance and sport-style products. “Bangladesh has a rapidly growing sporting culture and is a strategically important market for us to be in. We are excited to establish our presence,” said Abhishek Ganguly, managing director of Puma India. “This being one of the biggest Puma stores in Southeast Asia is a testimony of our commitment to all the professional and aspiring athletes here. We aim to promote the growth of sport in this nation, supported by our unmatched equipment and gear,” he said.
