BUFT-NRB Jobs Career Fest 2019 on 6-7 April

Apparel Report: A Career Fest for the students of BGMEA University of Fashion & Technology (BUFT) is going to be held jointly by BUFT and NRB Jobs Ltd on 6 & 7 April, 2019 at BUFT Campus Premises. BSAHRP (Bangladesh Society for Apparel HR Professionals) is the Strategic Partner of this event. The program will start at 10 am and will finish at 5 pm every day.

The objective of the two-day long Fest is to facilitate job placement for the students graduating from BUFT and to create a bridge with the industry. Companies from related industries having job openings will be present in the fair.

The organizers told The Apparel News, “We will collect the CVs of BUFT graduate and graduating students and send those to the participating companies to make a Short List. Spot interview will be arranged on the second day of the fair for the short listed applicants for each company.”

They added that there will be an inaugural ceremony for the Career Fest at BUFT seminar hall at 10am on 6 April. “We will promote this Career Fest through Facebook, Google, LinkedIn, Electronic (TV, Radio) and Print media. For making this Fest more organized and output oriented, there will be a Facebook event page also”, they added.

This career Fest will widen the scope of jobs for the students. It will also build a strong awareness among the employers.

At the inaugural ceremony, Mr. Muzaffar Uddin Siddique, Founder Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the BGMEA University of Fashion & Technology will be present as Chief Guest, while M.E. Chowdhury Shameem, Managing Director and CEO of NRB Jobs Ltd; Nahid Ferdous Auny, Head of Business of NRB Jobs Ltd; Prof. Nure A. Khan, President, BSAHRP and Head of Factory, Envoy Group will remain present as Special Guests.

Workshops will be held at afternoon on the first day titled “Reason behind the crisis in present job market”, “What should you know to join RMG Sector”, “Winning Interview” and “Be an Entrepreneur” – A Career Progression Approach (Rezistro).

It is known from the organizers’ source that 30 companies will participate in the career fest. Participating companies will offer job vacancy. Candidates will be able to drop their CVs for any desired post offered by the companies.

BUFT Career Development Club (BCDC) will be program co-partner; BSAHRP (Bangladesh Society for Apparel HR Professionals) will be Strategic Partner; The Apparel News will be Online Media Partner and Bonik Barta will be the Print Media Partner in the event; while Rezistro will be the Entrepreneurship Development Partner.
