Cover of 2nd Annual Magazine ‘SHADOW’ unveiled

Staff Correspondent: The cover of second Annual Magazine “SHADOW” of Screen Print Welfare Association (SPWA) was unveiled in a grand ceremony. Liberation War Affairs Minister A.K.M. Mozammel Huq was present at the ceremony as the chief guest held at Dhaka Regency Hotel and Resort on March 1, 2019. Anworul Karim, Deputy Director, Department of Social Services, Gazipur; S.M. Shahjahan, Deputy Director, BTEB; Helena Jahangir, Director, FBCCI; Engineer Md. Shafiqur Rahman, President, ITET; Nesar U Sikder, Member AATCC and Executive Director, DG Knitting & Dyeing Company; Dr. Fredrick Christopher, Director, Child-Poverty, Save the Children in Bangladesh; Tahsinah Ahmed, CEO, UCEP Bangladesh; Zakir Hossain Jewel, Managing Director, Best Style Composite Ltd; Amit K. Biswas, Editor & Publisher, The Apparel News; Tareq Amin, Founder & CEO, Textile Today were present at the ceremony as special guests.

SPWA President K M Nazrul Islam Jashim presided over the ceremony. Minister A.K.M. Mozammel Huq unveiled the magazine SHADOW. He said, Bangladesh government will do everything possible for the development of screen print industry. He praised the association for a wonderful publication.

SPWA Advisory Committee member G.H.M.K. Zaman and Vice President Md. Shahadat Hossain Sohag moderated the program. Among others General Secretary of the Association Saiful Islam, Editor of Shadow Md. Rezaul Kibria spoke in the event.

Apart from the members of the Association, the representatives of different suppliers of colors, raw materials and chemical used in the screen print industry were present at the ceremony. The program ends with a pleasant cultural evening and dinner party.
